THE TECHNICAL INFRASTRUCTURE
The tender for the establishment of the technical infrastructure of Eagle Mobile, declared the Huawei Technologies Company winner, and in December 11th was signed the Collaboration Agreement for the implementation of this infrastructure. By means of this agreement the Huawei Company will make possible that Eagle Mobile shall have the necessary technical infrastructure for the 3G system. According to this agreement Eagle Mobile shall start its services by March 2008. The cost of this investment is 26 million euro.
The president of the Board of Directors of Calik Holding, Mr. Ahmet Calik, the General Director of Eagle Mobile, Mr. Ali Taskin, The Vice-President of the Huawei Technologies Tian Feng and also the president of Huawei for the Middle East and North Africa, Mr. Qibing Tang attended the ceremony of signing of the agreement that was organized in the head quarters of Calik Holding in Istanbul. Whereas the General Director of Eagle Mobile in his speech underlined that he feels very happy that by means of this agreement with one of the biggest worldwide Company in this sector, it shall be possible to offer the latest technology and qualitative services. And what is more important, this technology shall be ready for the 3G system.
With the privatization of Albtelecom, Eagle Mobile was transferred to the telecommunication Company CETEL, part of Calik Holding group. 76% of the shares are owned by the consortium composed of CALIK Group and Turkish Telecom. 80% of the shares within the consortium, named CT telecom are owned by CETEL and 20 % by the Turkish Telecom.
In continuation, Eagle Mobile signed a Collaboration Agreement with Amdocs, the second biggest company in the world that prepares the systems of both calculation and billing of the phone calls. The agreement was signed by the General Director of Eagle Mobile Ali TASKIN and the Vice-President of Amdocs Charles BORN during the World Congress and the GSM (mobile operators) Fair that was held on February 11-14 2008 in Barcelona, Spain.
According to this Agreement, Eagle Mobile brings in Albania the latest system of the mobile technology in charging the mobile calls, short messages (SMS) and internet, and of course makes the system more secure and credible. This shall effect in the transparency of charging the telephonic traffic that will perform the Eagle Mobile users in all the Albanian country.
