•  Can I use my phone to make calls in Eagle Mobile network?
  Sure, you can make calls to Eagle Mobile network. Eagle Mobile supports GSM 900 and 1800. If your handset supports these frequencies and if there is a roaming agreement between your domestic operator and Eagle Mobile, you can use your mobile in Albania. Before leaving your country, you can check with your domestic operator for the roaming service availability.
   

• How can I connect to Eagle Mobile Albania?
  If you travel abroad, your phone automatically connects to a mobile network. To be able to make the most of the benefits provided by Eagle Mobile, ensure that your display is showing "Eagle Mobile” or "276 03" or “AL-03”. If none of these is showed on your handset, you can use your phone's menu to manually select Eagle Mobile.
  
  Please follow these steps for this procedure (the manual selection may differ according to the handset brands):
  
     1. Select the “Settings” menu
     2. Select “Network”
     3. Select “Manual network selection”
     4. Select “Eagle Mobile” or “276 03” or “AL-03”. 
  

•   How do I call abroad from Albania to my home country or anywhere else?
  To contact people outside Albania, you have to dial the international code required, e.g. 0044 or +44 for United Kingdom followed by the phone number you want to call. The same procedure happens when you want to call back to your home country.
  

• How do I charge the battery of my mobile in Albania?
  In Albania, the main voltage is 220 V. Make sure you have the right equipment to not miss the power.
   

• Which is the current currency in Albania?
  In Albania, the Albanian Leke are used, however in some shopping centers or bars/restaurants, the currencies like Euro and US dollars can be used. Credit cards can be accepted too: Master Cards, Visa Cards…..

Now You Can Roam!!!

You are planning to go abroad and you are hunting for a way how to keep in touch with everyone.

Eagle Mobile is providing a worldwide roaming service. With an Eagle Globe SIM Card you can roam in about 500 destinations. If you have a prepaid SIM card, make sure you have enough credit on your SIM card, or if you have a postpaid connection, make sure your roaming service is activated on your mobile.

Once you are abroad, you will need to get connected to one of the networks that will provide roaming service to you. The network selection is done  by searching manually the network selection, or it goes searching automatically if the handset is configured in that way.

After that procedure, you are ready to make and receive calls and to send and receive text messages using your Eagle Mobile phone.

In some networks, it happens that the service requested to your selected operator has to be compatible with your handset or the service availability from the agreement between Eagle Mobile and your selected network. The usual services you can get during your roaming abroad are:

At what basis the "international roaming" calls are charged?!
It depends on the direction of the call; if you are receiving a call (someone is calling you) or an outgoing call (you are calling someone). 
For receiving calls, when you are abroad, both the calling party and you will share the cost of the call. The person calling you pays the rates as a roaming call under the selected network charging rules, and you will pay for accepting a call on your roaming status.
This rate will be set between Eagle Mobile and the roaming operator you are using and will appear on your next bill, if you have a postpaid connection, or you will be charged on line if you have a prepaid connection.


For receiving SMS, neither selected operator nor Eagle Mobile will apply charges.
For outgoing calls or SMS, when you are abroad, you won’t be billed with the same rate as you are using in your home network; a different rate is used according to the network you have selected for your roaming stay.
When you are calling home or somewhere else, you will be billed at a different rate rather than when you are calling toward that particular country.

How much will it cost?
International roaming services can get more expensive very quickly than the service provided at home network.
Be aware that the bundled packages or promotion rates available in the home country, are not applicable on the roaming calls, SMS or DATA.
 
Payment matters
Before you travel abroad make sure you have paid your bills on time, and you get the confirmation that the roaming service is active for you. Please contact your sale account, or go to the nearest shop for more information.
 

Useful tips while roaming

Before you leave…
You need to check with your operator that your mobile subscription allows you to use your phone abroad and which services are available in your destination country. A simple phone call is all that is normally required.
Make sure your GPRS/MMS service is already activated before you depart.

Arrange your phonebook
It is very worthy to convert the most usual contacted number in to their International format, in order to call them during your roaming stay.
Avoid unnecessary roaming charges
Lock the keypad: To avoid accidental calls and unnecessary roaming charges, please remember to lock your mobile phone's keypad after use. 
Turn off the 'always on internet' connection service.
Cancel conditional call-forwarding feature before leaving Albania
Take care of your handset and yourself during roaming
Like any other appliance, you will need a universal phone charger and plug adapters for the countries you are visiting.
Contact the local tourist information office for regulations that may apply; e.g. using a wireless phone while driving is prohibited in some countries.

Tips for postpaid customers...
Please register and activate your International Roaming Service before going.
If you already have, make sure you have no outstanding payments to avoid service interruption while roaming.

What do you do if your mobile is stolen:
Ensure that your phone details and your personal data are registered with Eagle Mobile before you travel.
If your phone is stolen, contact Eagle Mobile customer care department (calling from abroad: +355 67139) and refer the following data: mobile number (MSISDN), Name/Surname, Birthday, ID Number, If Business Contract – Company Name  as soon as possible so that EAGLE Mobile can suspend your number.

Prepaid customers
Eagle Mobile enables all its prepaid subscribers to use roaming service at any time without any condition, unless the service is disconnected for major reasons. The prepaid subscribers should check their balance and feed their credit before they leave the country.

Postpaid customers
Before going abroad, postpaid customer should activate the roaming service. They should contact the Eagle Mobile Sales agents/visit nearest shops (individuals) in order to be sure the service activation, and the fees to be paid.
